ROEBOURNE INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
The Roebourne track was considered very large at around 680 metres in length, it was just one of the many North West tracks that sprung up because of the rapid increase in mining workers living in north of the state.
Driver's from other North West Clubs would ofter attend Roebourne, such as Port Hedland, Karratha, Tom Price, Parrabardoo, Onslow and Newman.

Robbie Chalwell recalls: While working up North I spent a fair bit of time at most of the North West tracks, one particular meeting I recall a driver that the officials suspected as been drinking, in fact he was pissed, As the cars in his race drove out onto the track he was stopped and told to do up the strap on his open face helmet, This simple task turned into a major task as he could not do up the straps, so with that the officials shut the gate.
The problem was he had put the open face helmet on backwards and the straps were to short to do up.
