1947 - ROBINWOOD SPEEDWAY.
Robinwood Speedway opened in 1947 as a 1/5th mile dirt oval speedway running Midgets and Jalopies. The track was shortened to a 1/4 mile at some point in an effort to make for better racing. Speedway continued at the venue up until 1958 when it closed.

1961 - ROBINWOOD SPEEDWAY.
Robinwood Speedway reopened again in 1961 with the roar of Grand Nationals thundering around the high banked venue. This didn't last long as the closed in 1963 and the racing action was moved on to Gastonia Fairgrounds and Carolina Speedway.
