1950 - ALDERSHOT STADIUM
The Aldershot Stadium in Tongham not only was a greyhound track but also hosted many forms of Speedway Racing from Hot Rod and Super Stock Racing, Bangers, Midgets and Motor Cycle racing.
Racing was normally every Thursday night, some Saturdays and every Boxing Day afternoon.
Initionally the track was a loose shale surface on the inside of the Greyhound Track but after Motorcycle racing ceased in 1960 the shale was removed.

1950 > 1960 - THE ALDERSHOT SHOTS
The Shots started in the National League Division 3 in 1950, 3rd Division became defunct in 1952 so Aldershot joined the Southern League for 1 year and then it was used for open meetings and Southern Area League events untill 1960.

1960 - ALDERSHOT STADIUM
Speedway continued through to the 21st of November 1992 when the track closed, Immediatley after closing the site was cleared for construction of the A331 Blackwater Valley Road.
