1950 - BELFAST SPEEDWAY
Belfast Speedway opened in 1950 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway on the old disused Belfast Fairgrounds.
The program featured Stock Cars and the organising of the events was shared between the Eastern Maine Stock Car Racing Association and the Belfast Stock Car Racing Association.
The life of the track was very short. Three seasons infact. The track closed after the 1952 racing season.
