1927 - TASMANIAN AERO CLUB
With the formation of the Tasmanian Aero Club in 1927, The first passenger facility in Tasmania was built on this site.

1929 - WESTERN JUNCTION AERODROME
The Airfield officially opened in 1929 and was known as the Western Junction Aerodrome, The airfield operated through until august of 1940 when the Royal Australian Air Force took over the site as a base to house the number 7 Elementry Flying Training School, This would be the only RAAF base in Tasmania at the time, The millitary abandoned the base in 1944.

1952 - QUORN HALL AIRFIELD CIRCUIT
The Quorn Hall Airfield Circuit opened in November of 1952 as a 1.5 mile racing circuit that hosted both motorcycle and car racing events.
The circuit was built utilizing sections of two of the runways at the disused World War 2 military airfield near Launceston, The circuit remained in use right up until 1960.
