Don Collins recalls: This photo of Charlie West #5 standing, Max Annear #93, Mick Hutton #92 is the only time Charlie West ever raced a sidecar, The photo was taken at BSA Motorcycle Club grass track meeting behind the Bell Bros building (now Westrac) along Great Eastern Highway in Guilford. Of all riders-drivers I have been privileged to see race, Charlie West was by far the best. Motorcycle scramble champion, Claremont tq champion, Claremont stock bike champion, Claremont A grade solo rider and Claremont speedcar champion.
