The 2 1/4 mile Warwick Farm Motor Racing circuit was planned in 1954 within the already established horse racing track.

Geoff Sykes who worked for the British Automobile Racing Club in the United Kingdom and managed the creation of the Aintree Motor Racing Circuit played a role in the planning of the Warwick Farm circuit.
