Sulphur Dell Ballpark in Nashville was the oldest ballpark in the country still being used for many years, After the last minor league team folded it was purchased in 1965 by Faron Young and Peter Page a local investor to be converted into a speedway.

1965 - SULPHUR DELL SPEEDWAYIn 1965 the ball park was converted into a speedway after Nashville Fairgrounds switched from the old modifieds to give them a place to run, They only had elevern races there over the same amount of weeks before closing down due to the lack of spectator numbers.
