Motorcycle speedway racing events were held at the Barraba Racecourse within the showgrounds between the mid 1920's and the mid 1930's.

1925 - DAILY NEWS NEWSPAPER REPORTEDFollowing upon recent successes of the AJS in WA, information has been received from New South Wales to the effect that at the Barraba motorcycle races the AJS completely cleaned up all events.
