Bulkeley Stadium opened in 1921 as a baseball facility and saw its fair share of action on the park.

1935 - BULKELEY STADIUM SPEEDWAY.
Motor racing kicked off in 1935 at the stadium in the form of Motorcycle racing around a 1/5 mile dirt oval track around the baseball diamond.
Initial reports indicate that the event's enjoyed some success, but, soon after that fell away as the competitor number's dropped and the fans soon dropped off as well.
