Several club members who went to Emu Park last Sunday were given a good day's racing. Local riders Don Timperley and Sonny Evans had bad luck with their machines. Star rider on the day was Brisbane's Keith Cox, who had just returned from racing on overseas tracks. He thrilled the crowd with his continual broadsliding which gave him slight margins over Leith Filshie, Phil Barnell and others.Published 4th August 1949 |
