1936 - MOUNT VIEW HILLCLIMB 19th April 1936In 1936 / 1937 Mount View attracted crowds of up to 6,000 to see Australia's fastest cars roar up the mount, These events were promoted by the New South Wales Light Car Club.
On the 19th of April 1936 the coarse was over 4/5ths of one mile, The fastest time was achieved by Tom Peters, a Sydney race car driver, in a time of 1min 33 3/5 seconds.
He was driving a Buggati.
The only accident that occurred was when Mr Hancock was launched by rubber band from the mountain top in his glider only to hit a stump just after take off, he was not injured but the glider was damaged.

Now into 1937 and a car event held on the 2nd of May 1937, W Conoulty was fastest on handicap.

1937 - MOUNT VIEW HILLCLIMB 26th September 1937Another car meeting was conducted on the 26th of September 1937.
Fred James was the winner of this event in a Willy's Sports tourer.
Judging by the lack of newspaper reports on the mount it would appear that Mount View wasn't used for further hill climbs.
