SOUTH DAKOTA (USA)
1999 - BUTTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
Butte County Speedway was a 3/8 mile dirt oval track, built by Fred Dahlenburg in 1999, The tracks life was very short only running a few meetings.
The Speedway was actually built on top of the old Dakota Intermountain Dragway that had closed back in 1994.
2010 - BUTTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
In 2010 Bill Keester arrived and cleaned up the venue that had fallen in disrepair, After some delays the track did reopen that year, running Stock Car meetings in the afternoon and at night. For what ever reasons the track only lasted that season and closed yet again.
2012 - BUTTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
It has been reported that a plan to reopen the speedway in 2012 did not get off the ground, so the story of Butte County Speedway ends.
