1949 - GLOBE MIAMI SPEEDWAY
Globe Miami Speedway opened in 1949 as a 1/4 mile dirt oval speedway hosting motorcycle and Jalopy racing, It wasn't until later when the Supermodifieds started to appear that the crowds started to swell.
As with most tracks as the residential area encroached on the speedway, so did the noise complaints, The track was forced to close in 1992.
