1930's - KAUAI COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.
The Kauai County Fairgrounds opened in the 1930's as a one mile horse racing track, The site was also the home of the annual county fair.
1952 - KAUAI COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS SPEEDWAY.
In 1952 it was organised to hold a NASCAR sanctioned Stock Car race at the track, with the view of holding more, The concept never really gained much support and it wasn't long before the golf course next door was extended over the race track.
