1948 - ALBURY SPORTSGROUND SPEEDWAY
Media reports indicate that Motorcycle Speedway started at the Albury Sportsground on the 14th of June 1948, when a meeting was held. The meeting was organised by the Riverina Sporting Car & Motorcycle Club and fell on the Kings birthday long weekend, about 2,000 people attended.
