1951 - ROANE COUNTY SPEEDWAY.
Roane County Speedway opened in 1951 as a 1/4 mile D shaped dirt speedway, Stock Car's were the major draw card at the venue.
There was good support from competitors and fans alike, with the owners running a mixture of both day and night meeting.
Sadley for whatever reason the owners decided to close the track down in 1968, never to reopen.
