1960 - LAKELAND MOTORSPORT PARK. CONSTRUSTION.

1971 - LAKELAND INTERSTATE RACEWAY.
Lakeland Interstate Raceway opened as a 1/4 mile and 5/8 mile paved track speedway, as well as a dragstrip and a road course, The speedway operated through until 1977 when it closed.
1987 - LAKELAND INTERSTATE RACEWAY.
In 1987 a group led by Don Nerone purchased the speedway and resumed racing racing on the 1/4 mile track up until 1994.
1994 - LAKELAND SPEEDWAY.
In 1994 the venue closed and was levelled to make way for the new 3/4 mile concrete paved oval that was to be known as USA International Speedway.
