1955 - SPORTSMAN PARK SPEEDWAY
Sportsman Park Speedway opened in 1955 as a 1/4 mile dirt oval speedway running mainly motorcycles and Stock Cars.
In 1961 a drag strip running under the name of Lee County Drag Strip was added to the venue, and thus causing the end of the speedway, as the dust was blowing over the dragstrip.

1973 - LEE COUNTY RACEWAY PARK
In 1973 the speedway did reopen again, this time under the name of Lee County Raceway Park.
The Stock Cars were the big attraction this time round, up until 1977, that is when the track closed once again, The drags continued through until the 1980's.
