1980 - THUNDER PARK SPEEDWAY.
Thunder Park Speedway was a very short lived Speedway track. In fact it lived for just one day only. Conflicting reports state that that one day was either the 9th of October 1980 of the 19th. The 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway was built just over the road from the Sacramento Raceway Park complex.
Going by the report's the event was organised by the Northern Auto Racing Club and was a Sprint Car Series event. The feature win went to a future Hall of Famer in Jimmy Boyd.
