1933 - DOVER SPEEDWAY
Dover Speedway opened in 1933 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway, it was a short lived life for a track, closing in 1935.
The track did reopen again in 1947 after World War 2 running midgets and the ever popular Stock Cars, Unfortunately the track did close down again in 1954 because of ongoing maintainance issues.
