1969 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. AUSTRALIAN SIDECAR CHAMPIONSHIP. 15th February 1969.Young & Murray are Australian Champion'sIt was a massive night of racing at the Showground, which featured the running of the Australian Sidecar Championship, as well as back up from the Solo boys.
This years hard fought out event saw the combination of Graham Young and Ray Murray win. Second placed was Doug Robson and Rob Lewis. Third place would go to Bob Levy and Kerry Pont.
The Speedcars were boosted with the appearance of the the one armed and very talented Jim McGuire from the United States of America.

1969 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. 13th September 1969.***New Season Opening*** **********Rained Out**********The 13th of September saw the opening of the 1969 / 1970 season at the Royal but the meeting had to be abandoned just before the Speedcar Time Trials.
The Management acted quickly and the balance of the race meetin was held on the following Monday.
