2020 - ATTWELL PARK SPEEDWAY USA INVASION TOUR 18th & 19th of January 2020After Late Model's not getting a run at Albany last year, the club put in a big effort to make sure they did not miss out this year, Attwell Park Speedway hosted a round of the USA Invasion Tour.
With the Bush fire problems under control and re-opening of the Ayre Highway every one associated with this meeting had a lot less to worry about.
Blight locks in night oneHow good is Kye Blight, so far there have been three rounds of the WA verses USA Invasion tour, Kye sits on top of the points table with 350 points, Young Kye has dominated Late Model racing of late in his Longhorn chassis car, He has won seven of his last eight races, the other he finished third.
In a recent interview Kye as modest as he is attributed his current form to just about everyone but himself, He noted that his biggest asset is his and wife Jamies families, The Stubber family for there support and there beleive. Kye recalled as a nipper watching his dad Darren race in Production Sedans, wishing one day he would like to be half as good as him, he also paid tribute to his sponsors and his Engine builder Jason Moyle who builds and maintains the engines in the Australia one machine.
The heat winners for night one were, Heat 1 Kodee Brown, Heat 2 Kye Blight, Heat 3 Brent Vosbergen, Heat 4 Kye Blight, Heat 5 Brent Vosbergen, Heat 6 Joe Godsey.
The top ten in the first nights feature were 1st Kye Blight, 2nd Brent Vosbergen, 3rd Warren Oldfield, 4th Daniel Ameduri, 5th Joe Godsey, 6th Hayden Ross, 7th Michael Holmes, 8th Jay Cardy, 9th Veronica McCann, 10th Jeff Roth.

Kye Blight Smashes itAustralian Late Model champion Kye Blight has again raced to victory winning both his heats and winning the forty lap feature race by 11.478 seconds ahead of second placed Brent Vosbergen and right on the tail of third placed Joe Godsey.
In fact Kye had lapped the field bar 2nd and third place on both nights, some found themselves lapped by two, three or four laps.
Kye paid tribute to the Albany club and track during an interview, Albanyhad become my home track after Kattanning Speedway closed during my Junior, Production and Modified Sedan days.
The heat winners on the final night were, Heat 1 Joe Godsey, Heat 2 Kye Blight, Heat 3 Brent Vosbergen, Heat 4 Kye Blight, Heat 5 Warren Oldfield, Heat 6 Brent Vosbergen.

2020 - ATTWELL PARK SPEEDWAY WEST AUSTRALIAN SUPER SEDAN CHAMPIONSHIP 7th November 2020Dusty Ends Title DroughtGary "Dusty" Higgs has finally broken through to win his first West Australian Super Sedan Championship, prevailing in an epic race at Attwell Park tonight.
After three decades of trying to claim the WA crown, Dusty fought off a persistent challenge from Damon Trouchet to win by 0.442 seconds on the line.
Trouchet drove a magnificent race to finish runner up, While Mount Barkers Rob Knox and Chris Pavlovich rounded out the podium.
It was a huge crowd of spectator that greeted the drivers as they rolled out onto the race track, A perfect way to kick off the new season.
