2014 - PERTH MOTORPLEX SPEEDWAY 18th October 2014Bad weather threatened the entire state leading up to all race meetings to be held over the weekend of the 18th and 19th of October, The organisers and drivers and crews all pushed on and rolled up for the event, The racing was going to be fast and furious with Wingless Sprints, Formula 500's, Speedcars, Late Model Sedans and Open Sprintcars.
By late afternoon reality had set in as well as the rain and the meeting was called and moved to the following Tuesday.

Although competitor numbers were down from the Saturday turnout, the meeting was hailed a huge success, the weather was ideal, the track was fast, and records were smashed.

Late Model SedansWarren Oldfield smashed the track record at the Motorplex during the post-poned opening meeting for the season which was held on the 21st of October 2014.
Warrens feature race lap time of 14.918 was a second faster than anyone had ever achieved before.
While Warren was the stand out on the night, there were five other drivers who broke into the fifteen second bracket, Craig Vosbergen 15.391, Jamie Oldfield 15.449, Brad Blake 15.50, Jeremy Hale 15.863 and Brad Ludlow 15.894.

|
410 SprintcarsRyan Farrell made a return to sprintcar racing claiming the opening round of the AHG Sprintcar series for the 2014 - 2015 season. Farrell led the feature from pole for the entire race with Jason Kendrick in pursuit.
Upon the white flag being showed, Kendrick made a move on the leader, this caused both cars to get together and Kendrick was forced to retire with front end damage.

Brent Vosbergen has taken out round one of the West Australian Late Model championship at the Perth Motorplex, Brent driving the number 8 TVR Rocket normally raced by his farther Craig won 1 heat as well as the feature to earn top points.

J a m i e O l d f i e l d claims the Grand opening showdown

It was an all Oldfild front row in the Late Model Sedan feature event at the Motorplex on Saurday night.
Jamie shot to the lead at the dropping of the green flag with brother Warren following, Marc Giancola settled into third with a pack of cars fighting it out for the rest of the placings.
Becauce of the large field of cars it only took till lap 6 for the leaders to start laping cars, After a few restarts with the last laps to be completed Jamie Oldfield held a comfortable lead over Warren and Marc Giancola.

Brad Blake who was the hard charger on the night worked his way from the back to finish in forth place.
Kye Blight who won the opening heat, ran strong all night dropped a couple of positions in the last few laps to finish 7th, Those position's were filled by Kodee Brown and Jay Cardy.

2015 - KYLE BEARD RUNNING HOT AT THE MOTORPLEX
Bunbury Wingless Sprintcar racer Kyle Beard is currently in red hot form, He has just taken out his second feature win for the season with just two rounds completed, Kyle son of Sedan car champion Kim Beard and well known speedway Steward and administrator has matured as a impressive racer this season.
Prior to this season Kyle was a self confessed hot head that often made judgements that found him in trouble, The team recently lost a major member of there operation, That be Ernie Hastie who was in charge of the teams engine development programme.
Ernie passed away prior to the start of this season so the boys have had to step up and run everthing in there team, The team still pays tribute to Ernie today by way of the Turbo Pressure Washer signage on the car.

An entire nights racing dedicated to one man the magic man himself Michael Figliomini, Three divisions in all fronted on the night, Speedcars - Late Model Sedan's and Sprintcar's all of which Michael had raced in, All division's on the night would race there heats and then line up for there respective 34 lap features, however due to time constraints all the features had to be cut short, just like Michael's life was, RIP.

The magic man 34 has become on of the most sought after races on the Late Model Sedan calander in WA.
Twenty two cars fronted the starter for an action packed nights racing, The magic man Michael Figliomeni was not only know for his speedcar dominance over his lifetime in speedway, He also had raced a Late Model sedan in the past as well as Super Sedans and Sprintcars.

2015 - PERTH MOTORPLEX SPEEDWAY LATE MODEL SEDAN'S 26th December 2015Over the Christmas break is when families gather everyware to do many different things, Speedway is no exception to that.
On boxing night at the Motorplex, the twenty four strong field of Late Model Sedans not only put on a fantastic display on the dirt oval, but if you ventured into the pits during the night, you would have seen how speedway families enjoy themselves.
OLDFIELD OLDFIELD OLDFIELD
So far this season Warren and Jamie Oldfield have just about dominated the Late Model results, and both were in good enough form to take out the night again, Also this meeting would see the return of Jason Oldfield to racing after a very series crash at Collie Speedway last season, Jason made his return in the Chill Motorsport Rocket of Brad Bolli.
