1942 - RINGWOOD AIRSTRIPRingwood Airstrip was constructed in 1942 as a 1,500 metre World War 2 airstrip built to be a satellite aerodrome for the Williamstown RAAF Base, it was situated about 10km north of Raymond Terrace near Engleton.
**************************************************************1949 - RINGWOOD AIRSTRIP TRACK Opening Meeting 4th December 1949It appears to have run from the 4th of December 1949. to maybe 1956. it may have run longer but no records were found. Some big names did race at the airstrip.
The track was fairly popular with the competitor's and the public, several race events where held each year.

The venue was under the control of the Hunter Valley Sporting Car Club, It was two miles to a lap, Cars ran down one side of the strip, rounded a marker cone and returned back up the other side.
