The Nickol Bay Speedway club has sent out a big thank you to one of there club members Peter Bywaters or "Snowman" as most know him for the water pumps to get the water pumped out of the track after the recent down pours. All in all its not too bad out there after all the heavy rains.

2022 - FISH TELENTA Production Sedan's
5th June 2020 - Building a brand new car and taking it to the biggest meeting of the year is always going to be a hard task. But thats what Fish Telenta did. Fish built this 1963 Holden EH from the ground up featuring a current day suspension and shock package. He and his team of dedicated mates only finished the car just prior to the title. It wasn't all plain sailing for the Perth metro based team as seems a case of spliting gearbox casing problems did let the team down. Fish did start from the tail of the B Main but, as in his words, got tangled up in someone else's crash. Here Mike Charlesworth captures the fantastic stance on this piece of engineering through the lens of his camera. How did this masterpiece not win Best Presented.

2022 - NICKOL BAY SPEEDWAY BRETT JOHNSON MEMORIAL 1st & 2nd July 2022 night 1Jamie Oldfield has come from the second row after his two wins and a third in tonights heats to win the opening nights feature in the Brett Johnson Memorial event at Nickol Bay Speedway. It was a tight event with plenty of pace, It was Jake Hoath from the Derby club and Lenny Bates from Newman who started off the front row, with each winning two heats and a second place.
As per many previous occasions it was Jamie Oldfield that went straight to the high line and started packing down a race line that would enable him to slingshot his way to the lead later in the race. Jamie did make that move just prior to half race distance, taking the lead and never looking back.
The win was Jamie's who also set fast time, with Lenny Bates who held his nerve with

2022 - NICKOL BAY SPEEDWAY BRETT JOHNSON MEMORIAL 1st & 2nd July 2022 night 2
Hayden Norman has banked his second Brett Johnson Memorial tonight along with $3,000. Starting from the outside on row two, Hayden charged around the outside of Brinley McGaffin and last night's winner Jamie Oldfield. The following ten laps the main focus was on the battle between Norman and Oldfield as they ran side by side. As the race progressed Norman would snatch the lead and pull away, leaving Oldfield to battle it out with Jace Kempton, last year winner, Paul Joss from Collie and local racer Colm O'Riordan. As the race settled Oldfield found his groove, caught Norman and passed him and built a gap. That was he was sidelined with equipment failure. Other drivers to retire in the latter part of the race were Peter Walker, Rowan Drysdale and Paul Joss, all from contact with the wall. Also forced to retire was O'Riordan with overheating issues.
It would be a very measured drive from Brinley McGaffin who had to come from the rear after he received a life line through the last chance race, Even though he was aided by the retirements he still had to pick the field off one car at a time, finishing the thirty lap feature in second place behind Hayden Norman who had checked out and finished the race over two seconds in front of McGaffin, 3rd home was Lenny Bates, 4th Ethan Cooper, 5th James Hunt, 6th Ben Ferris and 7th Daniel Ameduri. DNF's were recorded by Shane Snell, Jace Kempton, Robert Dunbar, Colm O'Riordan, Shayne Doust, Paul Joss, Jamie Oldfield, Rowan Drysdale, Jack McAuley, Peter Walker, Ray Clifton, Philip Lockhart, Jake Hoath and Steve Griffiths.
