1965 - HOUSTON ASTRODOME
The Sports Stadium was the first of its kind in the world. A multipurpose sports stadium enclosed in a dome. It was opened in 1965.
It is more commonly known as being the home to the Houston Ostro's MLB team, the NFL's Houston Oilers at the time and also the Houston Rockets for a small time in the NBA. It saw concerts from Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones, Madona and Michael Jackson.

1968 - HOUSTON ASTRODOME
From 1968, it ran motorsport. The first game with short track motorcycle events which would continue over nearly two decades.
Its most popular racing were the USAC events that ran in 1969, 1970 and 1972. All the major players including AJ Foyt, Johnny Rutherford, and Gary Bettenhausen.
Unfortunately the fan numbers dwindled and they had issues with the dirt causing damage to the stadium so they pulled the pin.
