1928 - SPEED BOWL
The Speed Bowl was a 1/2 mile dirt oval track that opened in 1928. The program featured car and motorcycle racing. The management team were very much ahead of there time, Promoting stunt shows and introducing ladies racing events to the race meetings.
All motorsport ceased at the Speed Bowl in 1937, Then came World War 2. There may have been some events at the track after the war but not on a grand scale.
