1911 - SIOUX CITY SPEEDWAY
Concidered one of the major tracks in the country at the time, This Two mile track brought fans from everywhere to see the racing.
The track was immediately given annual races for USAC and AAA Championship events.
Unfortunately the track only lasted six years and closed in 1917, A airport was built on the property.

1937 - AIRPORT SPEEDWAY
Airport Speedway has been reported by Lost Dirt Tracks as opening in 1937 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway on the site of the old Sioux City Speedway and then the Graham Field Airport.
Soon after the track opened, only by a matter of weeks, a 1/5 mile dirt oval was added inside the 1/2 mile track.
The program was made up of Cars and Midget racing, which ran for that one year only before the tracks were closed.
