1850's mid - ROCKVILLE FAIRGROUNDS.These Fairgrounds date back to the mid 1850's, They were built to host an annual fair with all the usual activities and displays.
Incorperated into the venue was a 1/2 mile dirt oval track that was used for Horse and bicycle racing.

1920 - ROCKVILLE FAIRGROUNDS.
In 1920 Motorcycle racing was added to the Annual Fairs program, Such was the popularity of the petrol powered machines, that Car racing events were added shortly after.

By 1929 and for what ever reason the Fairground Board decided to cancell all forms of Motor Racing at the Fairgrounds.
