1953 - KITTSON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.

The Kittson County Fairgrounds were built many years prior to motor racing starting on the 1/2 mile horse racing track in 1953.

Kittson County Speedway was born in 1972 when the horse track was reduced in size to a 1/4 mile running mainly Stock Cars.

In 1988 Kittson County Speedway went through a name change to Rocket Speedway and continued to run through until 1992 when it once again closed.

The speedway did re-open again in 1997, once again under the name of Kittson County Speedway before closing for the last time in 2005.
