BARRABOOL SCRAMBLE.
1960's early - BARRABOOL SCRAMBLE.
Barrabool Scramble Track or McAdam Park as it was also known as was a Historic motorcycle scramble facility that was built and opened in the early 1960's, near Geelong by the Sporting Motorcycle Club. This former iconic scramble track sat on 300 acres of prime rural land.
Although the facility was very successful there was opposition to the track festering in the background, Threats of closure were front and centre by the late 2,000's, Initially these threats were defeated by a group made up from Local Government, Several rider's and Motorcycling Australia. Million's may have been spent on both sides in the murky legal battle. In the end it was all pointless as the small group of Anti track citizen's won out and the facility was bulldozed.
