On Sunday last a few of the club riders made a tour of inspection of various lakes in the district vainly endeavouring to find a suitable speedway on which to hold upcoming events. A start was made about 3pm for Mr Pingelly's lakes, and in due course after a gruelling run, we arrived at our destination. The lake's are still in a very greasy condition, and after a few trial spins an adverse opinion was formed as to the advisibility of holding any speed contests there. Much amusement was caused on the journey by one of our members 'Biting the Dust" and, incidently upsetting his lady passenger. She was, however, none the worst for her experience, but decided to

finish the run in the car.. on our return.
After light refreshment, it was decided to "try out" the lake at Mr Forman's location and, there a most unusual, thing happened. Whilst 'Tiny" Walker was making a trial speed burst to suddenly ran into two consecutive greasy patches and developed a tail spin, resulting in. A spill. Such an occurrence is without parallel, and we are convinced that "Tiny"could ride that Harley in his sleep. it is believed that a number of riders are desirous of competing in the events to be held at the Doodlakine Showground on Boxing Day. Will all riders interested please assemble at the grounds, early, were nominations will be received.
