1947 - RIO GRANDE SPEEDBOWL.

Reo Grande Speedbowl opened in 1947 just after the end of World War 2, as a 1/4 mile Dirt oval speedway running Midgets on a regular weekly basis. The tracks life was very short, closing in 1951. The reason givern was too much competition from near by tracks.
