After the war and in 1947 Speedway motorcycle racing returned to Pennycross Stadium, this time the home team going under the name of the Plymouth Devils, this remained the case through until 1954. At this point there apears to be a break with no home team until 1960 when the team would be known as the Plymouth Drakes. Then in 1961 another change to the Plymouth Bulldogs. But in 1962 the name returned to the Plymouth Devils. Then there apears to be another break until 1968 when the Plymouth Devils once again rejoined the cometition through until the end of 1970.
