1950 - MYERS SPEEDWAY.
Myers Speedway in Bridgeville Delaware opened in 1950, as a 1/2 mile Dirt Oval Speedway hosting mainly Stock Car racing. This was a boom time period for speedway racing and Myers Speedway had to compete with many other tracks in the region for competitors, as well as the fans. The track managed to hold its own for a period, but ended up closing in 1958.
