1947 - THE ARGUS NEWSPAPER. Reported.Killed Practising at SpeedwayJohn Lade, 21, of Leila St Essendon was killed while practising at Keilor speedway track on Saturday afternoon.He suffered a broken neck when the front wheel of his machine collapsed and he was thrown to the track. |
