1965 - LAKESIDE SPEEDWAY.
Lakeside Speedway or as its was later renamed, Dewey Speedway opened in 1965 as a 1/4 mile Dirt Oval Speedway under its first name, Lakeside Speedway. The track was very popular with the competitors and the fans. The track management ran many different sections within there nightly program. Bikes, Stock Cars, Late Models, Supermodifieds and later on Sprintcars. The venue closed down in 1982 with a plan to upgrade the track and reopen again, but it never happened.
