1954 - INYOKERN AIRPORT DRAGSTRIP.
The Dragstrip at the Inyokern Airport opened for racing on the 24th of October 1954. The situation worked well ever though the Airport was fully functional with a lot of air traffic. The Drag strip was right next to the main runway. The racing continued through until 2005 when the rules pertaining to Airports were changed, thus locking out the Drag Racer's.
