1948 - HEIDELBERG RACEWAY.

Heidelberg Raceway was built in 1948 by Ike Wright as a 1/2 mile Dirt Oval for Horse Racing. Problem was that Horse Racing in Pennsylvania was not legal, so it was used for Auto racing. Some time after opening a 1/4 mile dirt oval was cut into the original 1/2 mile-er.

Both the 1/2 mile and the 1/4 tracks were paved in 1967.
