1962 - HAWAII RACEWAY PARK.
Hawaii Raceway Park opened as a 1/4 mile dirt oval speedway on the 1st of January 1962. The venue became very popular with the fans and attracted a healthy car count over many divisions, such as, Midgets, Sprintcars, Stock Car and Modifieds.
Sadly when the lease on the land expired in 2006, the owner chose not to renew, instead going down the road of rezoning, and selling out to industrial interests.
