1926 - GEELONG VELODROME
During the late 1920's and early 1930's when motorcycle racing had become very popular throughout Australia, The Geelong Velodrome was home to a dirt track speedway, The Velodrome hosted the inaugural Victorian Solo Championship in 1926/27 and also a second held in 1927/28, Billy Pilgrim won both of these championships.
