1964 - EVANSVILLE RACEWAY
Evansville Raceway originally opened as a 1/8 mile sealed Dragstrip. The owners Misters Melvin C Greer Senior and Junior built the strip along with its concession and picnic area, opening with it first meeting on the 7th of June 1964.
The strip is located in Chandler, which is 19 miles to the North East of Evansville. The racing was under the control of the Road Knights Car Club and was sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association.
