1938 - DORNEY PARK SPEEDWAY.

Dorney Park Speedway opened in 1938 as a 1/5 mile dirt oval speedway within the grounds of the Dorney Park Amusement presinct.

The program consisted of mainly Midget racing for the first two years but at the end of the second season the track surface was paved. Racing continued through to 1942 but had to close because of World War 2.
