CHAR LEAH SPEEDWAY.
1954 - CHAR LEAH SPEEDWAY.
Char Leah Speedway opened in 1955 as a 1/4 mile Dirt Oval Speedway hosting mainly Stock Car racing. Reports indicated that the track closed in 1965, and the track sat vacant.
1965 - ROLLA SPEEDWAY.
In 1965 and after a major re-vamp the Speedway did reopen, but this time as a 1/4 mile banked, paved oval, with a name change to Rolla Speedway. The Speedway was very popular and enjoyed a working relationship with the near-by Fort Wood Speedway. The venue remained open until 1971 when it is believed that noise complaints led to the track's closure.
