1980 - BRISBANE EXHIBITION SPEEDWAY. American Sprintcars International Grand Prix. 5th January 1980.Steve Kinser best of USASprintcar racing gets the crowds in now days and gets them on the edge of there seat's, especially when the American's are in town.
This year's team of Larry Burton, Steve Kinser, Jimmy Sills and Doug Wolfgang are no easy beats, no matter where they turn up to race.
The double row start feature event, held over 25 laps ran from start to finish in a time of 6.57.2 with the American driver Steve Kinser crossing the line first. In setting this time he lowered the standing race record from 7.42.0, that was set at a previous meeting by Ron Wanless.
Second across the line was the Queenslander Bob Kelly while Third went to Bob Oakman.
