BONNIEVILLE SPEEDWAY.
1961 - BONNIEVILLE SPEEDWAY.
Bonnieville Speedway opened in 1961 as a 1/5 mile dirt oval speedway in the city of Bonnieville. Not a lot is known about this track that is located on private property. What is known however is that the length of the oval was altered to a 1/3 mile at some point in its life, before the track closed in 1965.

2025 - Aaron Fry Reported.In my quest to located these old racetrack's and bring people's memories back life, I often come across some jem's, like this one in Bonnieville Kentucky. Not only did I find the track but i also met with the family that has lived on this property since the 1800's.
Pictured is 84 year old owner Tom and his son Tim, who took us on a grand tour. They had great Photo's and even vidio's of the racing. I listened with interest as Tom told me about his grand farther who had lived in a log cabin on the property back in the 1800's. The Cabin's crumbling remains are still there, behind where the track bleachers once sat.
