It has been here tonight at Speedway Park that will go down in the history files that South Australian racer Bill Wigzell has won the first South Australian Speedcar Championship.
As per normal the on track action from the speedcars was fantastic and well worth the admission price.
Don Willison Memorial Best PairsThe mighty Sidecars were also on hand tonight with the running of the running of the Don Willison Memorial Best Pairs Classic. The local combination's of Peter Menz / Neil Graetz and Tom Atherton / Warren McCloud were crowned the winners.Additional support on the night came in the form of Solo's and the Sedans.

1981 - SPEEDWAY PARK. South Australian select v Young England Solo Test team. Sidecars. Speedcars & Sprintcars. 4th December 1981.Pom's beat South Aussie'sSpeedway City has once again put on a fantastic night of racing for the fans here tonight. The Solo boys were about enter into a test format. Our local Boys were going to take on the Young Poms.
The racing was fierce and both team had every chance of winning, but in the end it turned out that the young Poms had won the test 55 to South Australia 53, on ya boys.
Bill Barrows to HotThe Sprintcars featured over the second half of the show, John Moyle won an early heat but it was Bill Barrows who came home first in the feature.
Weise wins SpeedcarsA large field of Speedcar's lent support to the program, with Alan Weise winning the feature, while in the Sidecar feature the combination of Peter Menz & Brenton Langlois were first to the line.
